...finished her book last night when she went to lay down for the night. Help!!! I need good book suggestions. Not the little easy reader books with the numbers on the side. I need some good book suggestions. They need to be chapter books and on a 1st to 3rd grade level. Leave a comment with ideas and we'll hit the library real soon. Thanks!
Abbie - Kayla loves to read too and reads at a much higher level than she should!Sounds like Zoe is the same way. Let's see... Kayla read all of the Cul-de-Sac books which you can get at Family Christian for about $3-$4/pc OR you can check them out on ebay and get some great deals. At the library they have a lot of the Boxcar children books, Magic Treehouse Books, and the American Girl books, as well as Junie B. Jones. Kayla also loves the Little House on the prairie books and Nancy Drew and the Babysitters Club, but it might be a little early for those purely from an age standpoint. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteMy kids love the Cul De Sac Kids series by Beverly Lewis. The girls like Junie B Jones. If Zoe is more advanced the Boxcar Children are good also. There is also a book I have been reading to Hannah Beth (ist grader) that is called Mrs. Piggle Wiggle. One other series is called Flat Stanley. I hope this helps. It is a start anyway!
ReplyDeleteAbbie,
ReplyDeleteI have a full "Earth Fare" grocery sack full of books that need a home. Josiah is one of those readers as well and these he has read through several times and is just done with them. You are more than welcome to provide a good home for them. I have Magic Tree House, Jigsaw Jones, Bailey School Kids, A to Z Mysteries,Hank the Cow Dog and various others. I don't know all that is in there and you would have to decide if they were appropriate for Zoe. I counted about 50 books. Let me know if you would like them. Holly
Coolio! Thanks so much for the suggestions. Yes, Holly, I would love to have those books. We never refuse books in our house!
